Cherai Beach

This serene and calm backwater has Chinese fishing nets and also rows of coconut trees, making the place more tourist friendly.

Dolphins

Animal lovers can be comforted by the fact that dolphins are occasionally sighted here.

Portugese fort and Pallipuram church are two places of historical attraction.

Church

Fort

This land has given birth to Mathai Manjooran and Sahodaran Ayyappan, two prominent figures of modern Kerala politics. One of the oldest temples of the Gowda Saraswatha community, Azheekkal Sree Varaha temple, is located here.
